In a case where a former employee of the Tokyo Stock Exchange was criminally charged by the Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission for allegedly passing on information about a takeover bid to his father, it has been learned from interviews with people involved that the former employee appears to have passed on information he learned in the course of work at his father's request. The Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office Special Investigation Division, which received the accusation, is apparently continuing the final stages of its investigation from home.
