Discussion on legal issues when issuing "digital yen" Ministry of Finance

The Ministry of Finance will hold a liaison meeting next month with the participation of the Bank of Japan and related ministries regarding the digital currency that can be used in the same way as banknotes and coins, which is currently being considered in many countries, and plans will be put in place in the event that it is decided to issue a digital currency. We plan to start discussions on the above issues.
